Chaps,

I bought the West Wings 'Swallow' glider kit last week and have pressed out the die-cut parts ready to make a start this weekend. Span is a modest 30" but it will be quite adequate as a re-introduction to flying models.

I see that Kiel Kraft model kits are still available including several which I made over 60 years ago including the Dolphin, SE5, Spitfire, MiG 15 and so on. Those kits and a few others like the Ben Buckle 'old school' range still require you to cut out all formers and wing ribs which adds considerably to completion time. Laser and die-cut kits are now the order of the day. Huge kits are now available with some going to quarter-scale! I am hoping to go for electric scale like the Piper Cub, Tiger Moth and Fournier RF5 etc., but keep within about 60" span.
