Two days later, on 03 September, Grandfather scored again, shooting down a 257 Squadron Hurricane over Ingatestone for his sixth victory of the war.
Greif1, this must have been Hurricane P3518 which was shot down over Ingatestone at 10:45 am and crashed at Lodge Farm, Galleywood, Essex. Pilot Officer Camille Robespierre Bon Seigneur baled out but his parachute failed to open. He is buried in the war graves plot at Saffron Walden.
