Ummmm. OK, I had in fact never heard of Jasper Carrott .... Doubtless he has never heard of me either and I made up the part about the comedian Carrot Top being his son. The only information I have is the following excerpt gleaned from Vol. 4 Page 475 of the 900,000 page HWH Handbook under the heading "World Famous Birmingham Comedians You May Never Have Heard OF".
"Jasper Carrott OBE (born Robert Norman Davis, March 14, 1945) is an English comedian (declaring himself "world famous in Birmingham").
On 15 September 2007 he was inducted into the Birmingham Walk of Stars at a presentation as part of the Arts Fest 2007 celebrations. The award was presented by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham. Carrott is the 2nd inductee, following Ozzy Osbourne."
I have, however, heard quite a bit about Ozzy.
