Thanks for posting that old story with the bitter twist at the end. I certainly recall it even after 5 years or more.

Posting my WOV experiences would be to no advantage because, like C51, I have not upgraded sufficiently to run the game without even the minimum of crashes. That card upgrade to 256mb is essential. That should be before Oleg's SOW hits the shelves by which time another upgrade to 512mb will be required.

At the moment I am spending my extra cash on a Fender 1960-61 Jazz Bass project with most of the parts from the States. I received a package today from Minnesota with newspaper packing which featured the comics page. One of the strips was Blondie. I was astonished that this cartoon character had been perpetuated for so long. It used to be by Ernie Bushmiller but I presume he passed on years ago. The artwork is now by someone else although the drawing style has been faithfully copied.

I had a 'Dagwood and Blondie' annual for Christmas in 1949.
