Thanks for posting another fine pix sans Dux. At first I thought it was a rear-view of three chaps doing the 'hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil' thing. Then I realized everyone seems to have their field glasses trained on something. Those cranes I suppose. I'm no expert but isn't that the ever elusive, narrow bodied, wide-gated tripod bird perched in the near background? If only the boys would just turn around....
Charity? I do seem to recall a beermaid name o' Charity at that. Actually she first was one of our HWH beermaids. I believe she proved to be every bit as generous as her name. Wasn't she the only pretty beermaid who ever lasted more than 24 hours? She was so eager to learn as well. As I recall it now, on day three of Charity's all too brief employment, Olga arrived unannounced and she caught you two just getting to page 3, illustration 4 of the Karma Sutra.... Did the poor lass ever return for her clothes after her lengthy stay in the Studley Grange free clinic, critical care unit and draft animal hospital?
As you were once his wingman, you are well aware that C51 has the fighter pilot's eagle eyes. This late in the day someone might have to hold him upright and point his face the right direction of course, however, I'm sure that C51 would easily identify those cranes, plus identify their sex and any troubling parasites that might be on their feathers at a mere 400 yards, even without glasses. Incidentally, he has asked me if there isn't the same naturist's colony on the other side of that field that he noticed in the previous photo? The boy's eyesight is indeed a marvel.;)
