Folks,

Dux, C51:

I did not walk down to the river today so I have not seen the Cormorant again. After looking at many photos both in my own books and from the Internet I am bound to side with C51. The most likely suspect is Phalacrocorax auritus or the Double Crested Cormorant. Their range is from our coast to just a little farther west of us. Perhaps I can get a photo soon, or I may never see one here again. You never know what you're gonna see when you don't have your camera do you? I didn't even have my big 10X50 glasses.
