I will see if this is still in print. I am not sure if Col. Gabreski is still living today however he has been called 'Our Greatest Living Fighter Pilot" at one point. I am sure his book would be an interesting read. I have a small print that shows Gabreski and his P47D flying way down low mowing the grass for Hitler somewhere in Europe. That largest of all our WW2 fighters could take a lot of punishment and still get the pilot back home.
