Back in the mid sixties, on one of those school trips, I was lucky enough to see the remains of a Gladiator, minus all covering, in Malta in the museum there. I don't know which it was of the famous Faith, Hope and Charity... Somewhere I have a slide or two.

It is only now (following reading and playing BoB2) that I realise the Gladiator was only just stepped down from being a front line aircraft, and they were actually still deployed as front line defense in areas of the country less likely to be attacked.

Quite remarkeable how the whole thing is coming into focus these days from the modern perspective.

I found it fascinating when the Hitler 'home movies' were first screened in the late seventies/early eighties, changing Hitler from the propaganda monster of my youth to a real person.

And Goerings favourite food in Berlin was fried chicken...

I can identify with that!
