Customs duty should be done away with. Even gifts from the USA etc., are subjected to pernicious levys by the same forces that lay in wait for our forefathers as they secretly rolled barrels of brandy up many a wave-swept Devon or Cornish cove. I wouldn't mind so much if it were not for the fact that most of our political guardians think that manual labour is a goalkeeper for Real Madrid. Cut corners, bend rules and make what you can. Why not? They do! Our carpetbagging MPs have generously agreed to a £10,000 pay rise - for themselves...
