YA did have a fine and interesting name. He was a country boy I think. He played college ball at LSU. Tough as nails he was. Course that's what they used to put him back together on several occasions
I dont recall my dad talking about YA but he probably was not happy he lost all those title games even know he would have realized it wasnt entirely YA's fault.
I like the open wheelers too but feel they ruined the Indy when the 2 factions split. All of a sudden there were guys in the race I never even heard of. That kind of killed it for me and I have never regained the same feeling for it. Now we NASCAR nuts have the Brickyard as well you will recall.
