May I be the first to congratulate you on surviving the battle and on writing such a terrific story. To my knowledge we have not, to this date in all our nearly 5000 posts, had such a fine report from a Stuka rider. Well done! From start to finish I enjoyed reading it.

It reminds us that in addition to the enemy and other dangers of war we must also take into account over zealous officers. This pilot reminds me somewhat of Hans Rudel himself. According to his book "Stuka Pilot" his gunners all loved him. I have not read what they had to say about it.

Of course Hein is not so talented a pilot as was Rudel and that makes all the difference.;)
