P20's affinity for the good old Gladiator is the reason for this pic, also from the Hendon Museum. Faith, Hope, and Charity were Sea Gladiators based at Malta when they had bugger-all else with which to face Mussolini's Reggia Aeronautica. A fourth was destroyed earlier, which was most convenient for that person who lurched forward with the immortal names subsequently bestowed upon the survivors.
