Hello Gentlemen,

a lot has happened here since I last dropped in - my internet connection was down for a good while, and it is good to be back.

Dux, the pictures are spectacular. I am quite impressed by the remains of the Spit, a very moving memorial. I am pleased that it is being displayed as found. As McG says, it does not appear to have been a crippling crash, but quite possibly it was burned out. It is hard to say if the present state is due to fire at the time or just the effect of time itself.

The Wickenby war memorial is also very touching, thank you for sharing it, it is enriching to be able to see in photos what we will never get there to see for ourselves.
