I have passed by Woodhall Spa quite a few times and recorded no sign of post WWII buildings, runways, or anything else that gives a clue that a Bomber Command airfield once existed here. Today I found out that there is a visitor centre worthy of a visit!
Coningsby is quite the reverse, being a fully operational airfield, which, as we all know, houses the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and other delightful wonders.
Then there is the likelihood of a visit to Duxford on the 10th May, a week before the air display.
Likelihood? I don't remember typing that word before...
'Find your enemy and shoot him down - everything else is unimportant.'
