We have had light snow on the hills of the Peak District last night and this morning. Nothing like the winters of a couple of generations ago. We haven't had prolonged snow like those days for well over thirty years. If we ever do, I predict near anarchy on the roads and motorways. The UK is geared to mild winters nowadays.
