Much too busy admiring the Duchess on your excellent picture Dux, and trying to determine whether it actually is James May who is looking pensively at the rear bonnet of that yellow car. While the hair style seems to fit, I have concluded that it is not Mr. May.
Regarding the car I'm afraid I'm quite out of my very small area of expertise. The yellow and black colour scheme seems to sugggest a vehicle used as a hansome cab, although I'm in doubt if I could call the car handsome.
From data gathered from browsing the web I do tend to think that it bears a striking resemblance to the aforementioned Chrysler Airflow Imperial either a model ´35 or ´36.
