"Hunt for Red October" is an absolute film classic and I've watched it at least 25 times and I've listened to the audio commentary on the bluray several times as well.

Every other Clancy film that came afterwards ranges from mediocre to terrible in my opinion.

I have not seen the Jack Ryan series on Amazon so I can't comment on that one.
