Not sure I'd agree either.I would have said that people sit and watch the TV JUST because it is there and you just have to press a button to turn it on.It's brain-washing delivered straight into our homes.I used to have it on while I was playing on my PC until I saw the light.

I can agree with the reduced quality of the sound/image of catch-up/on-demand services but I quit them too.Although to be fair I sometimes watch stuff I've downloaded on my 7" tablet and laptop where reduced picture and sound quality isn't a biggie.
