Just watched the first two Sharpe episodes, Sharpe's Rifles and Sharpe's Eagle, another 14 episodes to go...

Picture quality is not that great with lots of grain and noise in the darker scenes due to them shooting it on film, but the transfer to Bluray is still quite good, and it is in 16:9 where the DVDs are in 4:3, they went back to the original film to do the transfer.

Great stories, I have seen a few of the episodes when they were first broadcast but missed most of them while away at work, now I managed to get the full set from Amazon for much less than the cost of the DVDs.
