I didn't know who he was before his role on Game of Thrones but boy is he a fantastic actor.
GoT has a lot of good moments with good actors but the cream of the crop is clearly Peter Dinklage. There's a moment in season two during the Battle of Blackwater that, while very subtle, conveys every emotion someone of his stature (physically and socially) can muster. You can't help but root for the guy.
