It was supposed to be a Kubrick film. Spielberg took it over after he died.

It always struck me a film that was less than the sum of its parts. Somehow I felt like I should've liked it more than I did.


Saw White House Down this weekend.

Um...well, I don't really know what to say about it. Lots of action and effects. Some good actors. A rather implausible story. Kinda spoils it. I can buy Day After Tomorrow's world-ending freeze. I can buy ID4's world-ending aliens. I can buy 2012's world-ending cataclysm. I couldn't buy WHD's world peace subversion.
