I believe it was the extras/commentary for Aliens that brought this to my attention. Jeanette Goldstein happened to be living over there and after Weaver and Paxton and Biehn and Riser they were pretty much at their limit for American imported actors.

Oh, and I erred--Shane Rimmer was actually Canadian, not American, but the rules about Uk residency/union still applied to him.

I totally missed him in Batman Begins, I'll have to keep an eye out next time I watch it.
