I usually don't let reviews influence my decision making when it comes to films but I always find the comments on films by fellow SimHQ members to be interesting. With the Rottentomatoes website, I find it interesting how the user review score and the critic review score are almost never in agreement. It's as if film critics by their very nature are much more discerning than the average viewer.
