RIP.. To US audiences he's mostly known as "Theoden" from the LOTR trilogy and as the captain of the Titanic in "Titanic". I looked up his acting credits on IMDB yesterday and he had been acting in the UK since the early 70's. His big break into Hollywood was his role in "Titanic".

Hey! Easy there with that "way way back in the 80's" talk!

Lol, yeah I hear that I still keep thinking of 90s music as that new stuff that I don't like any more. Still, when your TV heroes & crushes keep stepping off the planet with alarming regularity, you've got to admit a few things to yourself

I recently listened through all of my Beatles CD's again and it was a bit surreal to realize that their first album was released 61 years ago. About the only other music I listen to that is older comes from musicians like Richard Wagner and Johann S. Bach!

The battle of Pelennor Fields, with the horns blowing as the Rohirrim crest the hill, will forever be the most epic movie scene of all time.

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!
