Thanks, PM. If only our remaining dog (Suzie...14) can give us at least another year as we get over Ralphie. No plans of doing it again though, we're just not cut out for it.

Vacation ‘fun’ cut short, both itching to get things done around the house and back into running shape (Running playlist on other thread has been awesome). We’ve set some tough end-of-year goals that I’ll post later on the ‘fitness’ thread (with abs pics if she lets me...women can be funny about this stuff).

Still listening to Boston, a non-hit favorite from each of their first 3 albums (don't have any songs after that except a couple on the Greatest Hits CD...meh)...

I believe Third Stage (Sep. 1986) was released only days prior to this recycled pic (older brother purchased CD, I copied to cassette)...

[Linked Image]

My car was an '87 purchased in '86 (we were reminiscing last night with my parents, mom was co-signer, remembers it being Octoberish '86) and pic was taken when car was brand new (no pinstripes yet). The weather was obviously still warm...wife looks dressed for work (evening grocery store job), probably visiting me first, after college classes.

I remember later wearing out Third Stage as a softer alternative to Appetite for Destruction and Master of Puppets (Rush had gone *too* soft for me at the time). What I would give to see my cassette briefcase in that car and also to have that system again (although cassette [Clarion head unit, IIRC], it was pretty good, with decent amp and speakers). I'm sure that whatever I was listening to then is 95% of what I listen to today. tuner

Anyway, the final song on Third Stage I could relate to, except for the girl's name (much like "Amanda" on same album)... smile

EDIT: Sound on this "Hollyann" not as good, but enjoyed some of the comments...

==========
"The nights you came to me
A blue jean lady so eager to be free
And the wind in your long hair blowing
As we stood for the band"

"You and I, we were there to see the dawn
Side by side we had love to carry on
And I still hear guitars in the air as we sat in the sand"
==========

Lyrically it has Journey “Stone In Love” vibes to me.

Hehe. I need to stop daydreaming about 80’s outdoor Rock festivals and Biloxi/Pensacola/Gulf Shores vacations and go pull more weeds. smile

The rusty wire that holds the cork that keeps the anger in
Gives way and suddenly it’s day again
The sun is in the east
Even though the day is done
Two suns in the sunset, hmph
Could be the human race is run
