Weight of Viper rudder pedals is 7.7 kg. That 1.3 kilograms more than the F16 rudder pedals. But still, it is desirable to fix the pedal to the floor. But it may increase the cost of shipping, unfortunately.

jawdrop

I'm in love. The gray ones rock!!

Do you have any idea of the price and possible shipping to the UK? I'll need to know how much I need to save up for.

biggrin

A few questions... and pardon if they're already answered somewhere else...

1. How does this interface with the PC? I kept ogling at the hardware, I forgot to consider the software!
2. I'm assuming the hardware gives hyper-accurate and super-smooth movement, but how is this translated into the software? Hall sensors?
3. Does the item come assembled? Or is it IKEA-packed? biggrin
4. I assume the paint and finish means everything is rust-proof?

Many thanks to Slaw for his quick reply to my price query. I'll definitely be saving up for this, even though I fly mostly the F-16 which doesn't really need much rudder input once in flight. I find myself using the rudders a lot more in Elite Dangerous.... but still.... biggrin

1. Plug And Play.
2. Hall sensors is a distant past. http://SimHQ.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3992837/Re:_Rudder_Pedals_(_like_BF109#Post3992837
13 bit rudder and 10 bit brakes.

I've heard a lot about the quality of the electronics, but if someone will repeat it - I will be surprised. It's really a great electronics.
3. Unpack, plug the USB cable and fly.
4. Steel, stainless steel and aluminum with powder coated.

P.S. Price - 550 USD + shipping.

If it wasn't for other RL expenses, I'd be all over this!

I have had my Slaw Bf-109 pedals close to a year. They make the rest of my Hardware look cheap. The quality is outstanding, the precision is better than anything I have ever used. Compared to my Saitek and CH pedals... No, there is no comparison. You cant compare plastic to real steel. The pedals themselves are works of art. The base is a solid block of steel. The hardware is all premium springs, nuts and bearings. These will be my grandkids pedals someday.
I Recommend these 110%

As far as the color is concerned, Black or Steel Grey. The space game crowd might go for Red, Blue or Gold.

I've had my 109 pedals for nearly 2½ years and still performing as good as new. Slaw builds stuff to last smile
