I am wondering about sharing savegames, too, actually.
Whilst I agree that settings make a difference (and there would be no ability to change them at will if you used someone else's campaign) it would surely give a taster to the feel of the BoB campaign and its genuine unpredictability. I do remember long ago putting together early Multiskin work and sharing campaign saves for another tester. I asked him how it had all gone, and he said 'Sorry, didn't have much time for testing, just been having too much fun with your savegames ;).
