The flak damage is a problem that needs to be fixed and the totally destroyed version is a bit over the top (called Hollywood Explosions)but the typical gun/cannon damage fits most combat picture of planes that don't break up and get back.
This 262 is in trouble with its left engine failing and control problems.
BTW I dont have any 'moving' bullet hole decals.
One thing you will not see is this 'mouse bite' damage used on IL-2 which is not how sheet metal reacts to bullets & cannon rounds. It actually looks like somebody poured acid on the plane
That all being said I think you can expect to see excellect effects on the 3rd party planes when they start rolling out.
Try to take a close look at the blown out bombardier station in B-17G's nose. If anyone has Jablonsky's B-17 history you will see the actual picture its taken from.
BTW the real life B-17 did make it back to base with 3 dead.
