I've sent them a message, but no reply yet. Was hoping someone here might be able to help. Running a Win 7 Pro Opsys. Issue is that Joystick, a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro has no throttle and no rudder in GOG EAW. Pitch and Roll OK. Guns fire. Joystick works OK on other games. The keyboard buttons which are supposed to control the "missing" joystick functions also do not seem to work. Have tried setting "Windows Joystick" from original value of "1" to "0", and joystick loses all function and then game crashed. Set it back to "1". Have tried deleting "dinput.dll" and joystick lost functionality altogether. Restored the dinput.dll. In the ini, Flight Control =Joystick, Throttle = Throttle, Rudder = Rudder, and Camera Position = Mouse. Checked in-game preferences, and the correct choices are made (similar to immediately above). Any ideas?

From the posts in the EAW forum at GoG, and from my own experience, the " dinput.dll" stuffs up the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro (which I use) I have the GoG version running in both in Win 7 and Win 10, including the expanded folder with the OAW patch. I do not play it because I do not need the nostalgia, and I do not have a frame-rate problem.

Complete failure on Win 10 machine. Game won't load, and gives a pop-up message about not being able to set controller "X" axis, which I suspect is the rudder issue again. Used Logitech software to calibrate the Logitech joystick, and all was apparently well. Tried all various combos of the suggestions above, to no avail. Same Extreme 3D pro controller works fine in at least 2 other games, one of which is "Wings Of Prey", also a GOG Game I might look into getting another controller. This one seems to be well regarded, and I need a Left-hand controller to play Kerbal Space program anyway.

It is your machine Mine has a slot into which I put the HDD with the operating system on it. I have all versions of EAW including the GoG one running on both the Windows 10 HDD and the Windows 7 HDD, with no compatibility settings. The only controller that I have is a Logitech extreme 3DPro.

I have all versions of EAW including the GoG one running on both the Windows 10 HDD and the Windows 7 HDD, with no compatibility settings. The only controller that I have is a Logitech extreme 3DPro. At this point, I'm inclined to agree, although the GOG game being unplayable on two separate machines, one with Win 7 Pro opsys, and the other with Win 10 Pro opsys seems mighty odd. Both of the computers have far more than adequate hardware to run this game. Since downloading GOG EAW onto either computer, I never checked-off any sort of compatibility settings. Hopefully the game does not do this automatically, and unbeknownst to me. Would it be possible for someone to copy their (known to function properly) GOG EAW ini file and post it here? Either Win & or Win 10 opsys would do, just let me know which one is provided. Possibly I could compare it with what I have, and see if there's anything else causing the problem. I sure do appreciate the help, folks! After all, this is not your problem, and GOG, while helpful in the past, has not yet replied to my Help Requests.

I don't believe compatibility settings will help a stick issue. From what I've read the GOG version just doesn't play well with a Logitec stick. So there's few roads to follow go with Jellys 1.60 Look around I've seen some 1,28 installations around or get a Virgin 1.0 EAW and patch it to 1.2 at least ..I have EAW 1.2,,,,1,28,,1.6 and Pro all working fine with my logitec stick.Ain't rocket science if one version gives you troubles try another version..Jelly and Mark have posted the usual fixes time to switch horses

When I use the Logitech Extreme 3DPro I have to unplug all other Controller's .This only happens in the GOG version .All other versions work with all my controller's plug in to my computer . Only 3DPro plug in and these ini setting all works just fine . Give it a try . Windows Joystick=1 Device1 Port=1 Device2 Port=2 Device3 Port=3 Rudder Device=1 Throttle Device=1 Stick Device=1 Key Device=0 POV Device=1 JoystickDeadZone=4

Have always left it 'plugged-in". wonder if i should Un-plug the joystick before starting the GoG game. I dunno.
