There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Fascinating stuff.

Really interesting article, Krazi! I have always been curious to find out whatever became of all those inflatable planes, trucks , artillery pieces, and tanks that were used as Patton's army of deception in England.

I would love to obtain one of the tanks!!

That was very interesting, thank you! I was a welder for a while, and being scrapper or ship breaker always intrigued me as I LOVE torch cutting. Very interesting to imagine cutting up a battleship or carrier.

Naunton Beauchamp Worcestershi...
Cleaning up after WW2? There is still a lot of cleaning up from WW1 to undertake.
The Iron Harvest on the Western Front is still throwing up a large amount of ordnance, as well as remains and artifacts.
There are still at least 5 huge underground mines placed by the British around Messines that haven't exploded to this day.

Has Woodstock been tidied up yet?

The chair Hillary was sitting in the night of the last election?

But yeah, good to know

Seriously, a fascinating article with incredible pictures.

Thanks.
