I have to note, though, that the new sun glare effect is not a part of 2.05. Hellshade uses a beta version of DX9 shaders, which unfortunately is not yet ready for public use.
Hellshade, one thing I wanted to ask. This and some other videos you made with the beta shaders feature a very noticeable banding around the sun. However I specifically tried to reduce visible banding in these shaders, so probably it is just YouTube compression issues. But I wanted to ask how does it look when you play the game?

Youtube compression, unfortunately. It looks good to me when I fly but I will check again and look specifically for banding while in the sim. If I recall properly, there is some but it is minimal and the youtube compression seems to amplify it considerably.
Great stuff Hellshade! I have to admit, I spent most of the first part of the video wondering who's side the anti-aircraft fire was on, though!
Here's a bit of video of a recent airfield attack with #1 Naval. My wingmen have Pups and I still have the N11, which gives me just under 200 rounds to try to destroy an entire airfield with! After three passes, I was down to 9 rounds left in my last drum and was about to head home when three Eindeckers showed up. I figured this would be a good show and just tried to stay out of everyone's way. Couple of interesting points: at about 1:53-2:04, I appear to catch an Eindecker doing an honest-to-God Immelman turn...tell me what you think! Also, I did manage to shoot out the engine of one of the Fokkers with just 8 bullets, but because he managed to land on his aerodrome, I didn't get it counted as a kill? Watch it and give me your ruling!

I'm not a great camel pilot, but I went 1v1 in a camel vs a DR1 Ace in quick combat and boy did that fellow know how to sling his crate around the sky to keep out of my sights. Even when we got down low and he was damaged, he still did a pretty good job of being a pain in my arse. I almost bought it myself when I got too close to the ground.
Kudos to the Devs in the latest FM / AI behavior changes. Whatever it is, it's harder than ever to score a kill.
I did, they didn't seem to have enough umph, despite 13 hits
I'm not sure if you've noticed how WOFF evaluates a successful ground strike, but it depends on what you hit. I've recieved successful strikes just by destroying a couple of parked planes, one hanger and/or an AA gunner.

Interesting to see, how others fly and fight, and how their vision and situational awareness goes.
Rick, did you meet those Pups, or was it a mixed flight?
Hellshade, now I'm dizzy, and I see why they called them "turn-fighters"! That Dr.I was giving you a good fight - you guys were all over the place! Like Murtaugh in "Lethal Weapon" I'd say: I'm too old for that sort of business!

Hey, Olham, it's a mixed flight. I think as soon as I get a promotion, I'll get my Pup , although the Bebe is a fine bus, just have to manage your ammo very carefully!

Yeah, and then the vision...! I always admire pilots who fly the Nieuports with that weldering sight. But one day I will give it another try. I know that she's a great turn fighter.

The continuing service of Ernst Ziegler, Jasta 5, Boistrancourt:
16 Mar 1917 @ 09h08 attack enemy balloon north of Lechelle aerodrome west of Cambrai
Berr lead the flight with Gontermann, Schneider, Theiller, myself and Bussing accompanying. “A” flight sent Sturm, Hertz, Nathanael, Reimann and Joos as top cover. Our flight to the lines was quiet except for the arrival of 4 strutters well above us and following as we approached Marding. They ignored us or didn’t see us and we carried on. As we approached the balloon I broke off and made the first pass causing the balloon to smoke heavily. Bussing followed up and also hit it and I watched it burst into flames and go down but not before I saw the tommies jump from the basket and parachute down. On the return flight I saw “A” flight well above us engaged with some enemy craft which I suspect might be the strutters that were following us. When we got back to base I found out that Nathanael was wounded in the encounter and crashed on our side of the lines with his craft completely destroyed. Reimann was forced to land close to the lines and is currently missing. The whole squadron is rather upset about this and we all hope he makes it back to base safely. Gonteremann is hanging close to the field phone expecting a report of Reimann.
I have been informed that I have been promoted to Leutnant and the boys plan to celebrate this tonight.
Still flying in March! Boistrancourt airfield not laid out as intended until April!

Good work, Robert! Sometimes I watch the videos on my TV and sometimes on the computer. Invariably, when I watch them on the computer, I try to look around like my head tracking is going to do anything! I did match a couple of your moves pretty well though!
I haven't seen an Eindecker video up in a while, so I decided to re-enlist Karl Spieler and fly German for the first time since WOFF 2.0. If you haven't flown an Einy before, it's very much like piloting a big boat, you really have to cut your control inputs short or you will go way past your mark. Please excuse the wonky head tracking...

that was a cool balloon kill you made there with the boys - wish I could have been there with you all on that sortie (but I had to organise more wine and cognac from Cambrai).

Rick, if the shooting wasn't involved, one could name your dance with the Nupe 'beautiful'. I was quite shocked though, how close you dived under a hit opponent. Remember - you never know when they drop - he might have fallen right "on your roof"...

Olham;
It was one of those exciting moments when I saw the balloon go down but when we got back to base Bussing got the confirmation for the kill and took the wind out of my sails so to speak. "ROBBERY!"

So I started a late war Alb DV pilot campaign. On patrol we spot some DH5s and dive to attack. My apologies to the Albatros series lovers out there. I cannot do your beautiful plane the justice it deserves, (plus still learning the new FMs) but I put up the best fight I could. I lived. That's a victory of sorts, yes?
On patrol again in my Alb DV and the flight leaders start acting wonky. After searching the skies, I see Strutters high above us and one by one they dive to engage. I latch onto the 6 o'clock of one and pepper away at him. I got this guy! Yeah, they have rear gunners. So as I spiral helplessly down towards my death, all I could think was "Damn, Winder did a great job creating the feeling of altitude. The ground looks amazing rushing up at me...." CRASH.
