Think I'm going to have to pick up the Sabre for that price, a little too cheap to pass up!

3 bucks for the F15, I paid more then that for a sandwich today.
Or 12 dollars for flaming cliffs. hum.

Will I need a sophisticated joy stick for DCS f15 I have a very basic no trills stick.
It works ok for Su-25.

Said before, I wouldn't pay $49.99 for the Sabre, and I didn't. $14.99 is a good deal.

Sweet zombie Jesus, get your DCS install off Steam and transfer all your keys over. All Steam keys work without steam anyway.

LOL.... Okay, call me slow but I thought once they were transferred from DCS you couldn't go back or did I totally misunderstand and the original key I bought at DCS still works without any penalties, such as having to pay some sort of additional fee or such.

Yeah, with all 4 of my wish list items on there, very tough to pass up.

A key purchased on Steam will always work both on Steam and on a direct download from ED. A key bought from ED will only work on a direct download from ED.

I made a stupid "I don't know how I did it mistake" in wich I bought the Huey instead of the Dora. As I already own the Huey I opened a ticket with ED to try and fix this. But in the mean time if someone wants to grab the Huey from me instead, that way I'll just re-buy the Dora.

I picked up a few, apparently too many since my ip has to "cool down" a bit before initating the download of the bittorrent file. I'd prefer steam ... but for that price I'll live with a bit of hassle.

I spent yesterday evening watching cold war aircraft documentary films so I just had to get a fix. Going to setup some Mig-21 Finnish airforce missions and hope for a Baltic map and a AJ37 Viggen in the future.

If I buy the F-86 Sabre during this sale, the price is great, do I just get the Sabre flying around the DCS world, which is in a completely current time frame.

In other words, would the Sabre fly against modern jets and ground threats ?
And if so, is the only solution to also buy the Mig 21 to have something to fight against ?

Thanks,
Tracy

Yes, DCS modules are mostly aircraft that plug in to the existing DCS World. THey usually bring missions and campaigns but since they add no maps or units you are restrained to what allready exists in DCS World. However you don't need to buy the MIG-21 to fight against it, all modules released exist as AI units for everyone in using DCS World. Better yet an AI Mig-15Bis is allready been added to DCS World and you can already fight against it as well as the Mig-21. The Mig-15 will also be released as a flyable DCS module sometime in the relatively near future.
New Maps are also to be expected to start making daylight after DCS World goes 2.0. It's even possible that Mods will comeout releasing and/or converting ground units to historically apropriate periods.

Thanks for the info, though was there a time that ED allowed their key to transfer over to Steam? I have bought most of my items via ED not Steam and now they all work. Not being argumentative, just seems there was a port over period. Perhaps I'm confusing this with another event.

You are correct, but it wasn't ED that disalowed their keys to be activated on steam, it's STEAM that after a short while decided they were not going to have it anymore. I gess Most people using DCS on Steam were people buying keyts from ED and STEAM was not making any profit out of it and still having to fork out the bandwidth for the downloads. I sure was one of those users smile . Anyway, now I no longer use DCS on STEAM as I now own a few modules that I could no longer activate on STEAM.
