For those interested in new scenarios for JF-18, here is some real life stuff:

US Carrier Strike Force Enters Syrian Waters. Russian Carrier En Route
DEBKAfile Special Report November 26, 2011, 11:33 AM (GMT+02:00)

Read the article here: http://www.debka.com/article/21521/

Since that article, the U.S.S. George W. H. Bush has drawn back and the U.S.S. Carl Vinson has moved into its position. The Russian carrier is, of course, the familiar Kuznetzov.

Edit In: Not sure why I was thinking Iran, when you're talking about Syria...lol

TSH were working on an Iran map a few years ago. A problem with the fencing, and user created missions gave a head ache.

I'll have too see if we can get this back on target. I think this will be a great addition since Iran has F-14s.

I thought TSH already had a number of Iran missions and campaigns, including Mav's Operation Eagle Warrior (re-work of Janes F15 Iran campaign), Persian Cats (flying Iranian F14s in the Iran Iraq War), Warbirds (defending Saudi Arabia from Iran), Persian Freedom (three part campaign)and Iran Strike (defending Strait of Hormuz and attacking Iranian nuke facilities).

If there is, I haven't seen any of the files.

They are all available at the TSH website on pages 1-4 of the campaign downloads section here:

Oh ok, I was under the impression that the Iran map was a completely new world.

If you recall Gipp created an Iran map that could be selected using v2 world swappers. It included Ncape, Iraq, and Iran as a selection.

The "Iran" map that Rudel mentions is a different subset of the Iraq/Iran terrain featured in JF-15. The JF-18 world is smaller than the JF-15 world, so when the JF-15 terrain was imported into JF-18 in TSHv2, a decision was made about what subset of the JF-15 world was to be used. There was development work done to create a different subset of that world to create a third theater "Iran", although it would share some areas with the currently-available Iraq theater.
