Just wanna gauge the interest here.........Im thinking of a 24 player(3 squads each side) server. I may spring for a 32. I just wanna give us some place to play without hackers/aimbots/griefers. Lemme know what you guys think..........

Do what you want, your money... buts whats wrong with the SimHQ server... how are YOU going to be able to prevent those things... and maintain a open and rank up server? just wondering?

Between Dirt Diver's server and the SimHQ server, we have two already that I think are fairly underutilized (read: empty most of the time). But I guess if the interest is there, you can go for it.

Simhqs server is not up most evenings(not sure why?)and about the hackers they are getting worse by the day all one has to do is go to ea/dices forums for reporting cheaters and youll see and Ive been playin FPShooters along time (since 97)and I know when Ive been ainbotted...............we are starting to see the same guys on just about every night and Id like to have a place where we can go that we can control the settings.my ultimate goal is to get 8 to 16 guys that wanna do somehtin a lil more serious(teamwork wise) there are a lot of squad/platoons that are doin just that and kickin ass, no offense to anyone......... especially SimHQ(and I cant get Dirts server to show up?)

Tex,

If there's enough interest in you starting up a 24 player BF3 server, would you be interested in TeamSync/TS3 enabling it? If so, I'd be interested too, and I could either help you set it up or run a channel for you on my Teamspeak 3 server.

Then I could switch my BF3 server back to an 8 player squad rush server or something. The more TeamSync enabled (and varied) servers the merrier I say! smile

All I really care about is havin some fun and some good competition with this and not havin to deal with cheaters like so many FPS before and thats the ONLY reason I would do it(pub servers are always wrife with cheaters) (and cheaters is what ruined BF2 for me)and yea dirt I would do it but if we have SimHqs server why bother?but 30 bucks a month aint no big deal as long as SimHQs server is up every night I like playing sun thru wed dont have a lot of time on weekends except in the daytime.I do like teamsync it is the #%&*$# no alt tabbin out to change TS channels is great. Also I LOVE the IDEA of a squad rush server.VERY INTENSE.

May be u want to check your filters. If you set them only for Conquest and that night SimHQ is playing a Rush game, the SimHQ server

will not appear to you since you filtrated out the Rush games.

Thanks for the tip Gunny but the only thing I got filtered is no squad DM,IMHO Squad deathmatch and random spawns is not my(just plain stupid) cup of tea so to speak(and thats puttin it nicely)(its more like stright deathmatch).........I REALLY would like to kill the sniperfest/mortor spamming and the best way to do it is server control.but I havent made up my mind. We seem to have a good core group that plays pretty much every night. I certainly dont want to step on Simhqs toes and that is NOT my intention.......So Gunny your sayin that you get Simhqs server to show up every night?

I just type SimHQ (case sensitive) into the filter bar and it shows up pretty much all the time; however usually no one is on it frown

There is about 8 of use from here on a good night. Normally i see about 5to6 SHQ guys that play actively every night. If we can increase our core group in numbers, then we could lock the server and would not have to worry about cheaters.

Perhaps we can do some recruiting? i know there are guys out there that want to play like us they just dont know about us.

My question is, where are the 100 SimHQ platoon members? smile Yes, yes, I know. Different time zones, work, Skyrim, etc. doesn't allow for everybody to play at the same time.

If we could get 16 pretty reliably Id do it and no punkbuster is NOT doing its JOB,Just do a search on you tube and youll be surprised how many hackers/cheaters there are.......If I have to play on pub servers BF3 wont be on my HD much longer.BF2/BfBC2 pub servers were a mess.Nothin takes the wind outta my sails more than a cheater/glitcher/hacker.It happens every game and the ONLY defense is private servers.Dont misunderstand I appreciate simhqs server and TS make no mistake about it. but after we are all ranked up with all the weapons passworded servers will be the way to go.In BFBC2 streaming PB got a lot cheaters caught but it was not perfect but better.

I think when we get about 10 people on our servers then we get the public to join us and we cant assume all of them are cheaters, some of them probably like playing with us and probably want to come back and play on our server they just don't know the site or team speak info etc.

What i would propose to admins is that perhaps they advertise our site and TS info periodically on our server so public can find more details and can get on TS with us. That way we could probably build up BF community to have more active number every night.

There's also the Donkey Dome (do a search for "donkey" in the filter).. it's a server my buddy set-up and a few us pitched in to cover the costs.

40 players - Conquest

there are 4 admins... and 3 were on tonight... if you really think someones using a cheat or whatever, say something over comms/ts3... or in game chat if you must... admins will make a decision based on complaint, excessive points or whatever and can kick.
