Just one more cool thing about Firefly, a growing list. LOL
Very true about Mal being a Han Solo type of character. Still amazes me that there was no attempt to put that kind of character in the 3 prequel Star Wars movies, and I'm still disgruntled about Firefly getting canceled.

Han Solo was one of a kind!

Do you hear that, Fezzik? That is the sound of ultimate suffering. My heart made that sound when the six-fingered man killed my father.

The Malcolm Reynolds - Han Solo similarities are so obvious that only a deaf and blind person wouldn't notice it!

He talked too much to be cooler than Boba Fett, but still a very cool character.

It's good to see that most of the Firefly cast have gone on to do other great things and that their talent has been acknowledged. Sean Maher and Ron Glass seem to have disappeared though after Serenity.

Interesting fact... this coming Monday, from 8-11, you can see three of the FIREFLY leads on their respective shows.

8pm on NBC - Adam Baldwin CHUCK.
9pm on NBC - Summer Glau THE CAPE.
10pm on ABC - Nathan Fillion CASTLE.

Another interesting fact... all three shows would be categorized under the letter "C."

Oh wow, that is cool! smile

Of course Morena Baccarin is on "V" and Alan Tudyk has been mostly doing movies instead of tv. I haven't seen Jewel Staite in anything since SG: Atlantis.

That's funny. Surprised Whedon let that happen. Maybe he wasn't aware of it.

Whedon is the biggest fan of Han Solo ever. Why would he have a problem with it?

Only guessing b/c he didn't want any references to other scifi in Serenity (the name of the crashed rescue ship was a reference to the ship in a classic 50s sci-fi flick, Forbidden Planet, I think, and he later stated if he knew that, he wouldn't have allowed the name to be used. Or maybe one of the ship designs for a Reaver ship was, not sure.). I know that Han Solo was partly the inspiration to FF, so I know it's not a question of liking it, which is a given.

Belerophon you mean?

Actually, Glau was on an episode of Chuck late last year, but she only had 2 scenes with Baldwin. In the second and final one, though, he made a little in-joke when he started off his speech to her saying "I don't know what sort of crew you're used to running with..."

Tudyk was in that one commercial with the guy setting his DVR to record from his smartphone during a bank holdup, I forget what company it was for, but that could very well air during one of those 3 shows! Of course he was on the first few eps of the new V with Morena Baccarin, making that a little FF haven as well.
The regular, recurring, and guest roles on that show have included people from Lost, the 4400 and Taken, BSG (2 Cylons!), Firefly, and of course, the original V.

Jewel Staite and Sean Mayer were together in an episode of Warehouse, which I didn't see.

I saw that, they were a couple. Only time I've seen Sean since Serenity. Jewel of course was a semi-regular at the end of SG: Atlantis' run along with ST alum Robert Picardo. SGA's lead was also a guest on one WH13 ep.
