Having constant probelm with my media file

each time I had K-lite codec, i never got video working well. I erased K-lite,and instaleld 'all in one' codec and VLC player, it worked. But each time I play game, and exited game, i could not play media files (any videos), they always blacked out. In order, to fix that problem, I always have to reboot my pc. I have been fed up with this kind of problem, and I m wondering if it have something to do with my Geforce 8800 GTX driver, my registry, or somethiing else. Any solutions to my problems will be truly appericated! Thanks!  Eagle out...

I will try CCCP codec pack then, and hopefully it fixes my problems. (crosses my fingers)

sounds like somthing isnt letting go of your Hardware Overlay or your software overlay.
in WMP, Tools, Options, Performance Tab, Alternate Between "Overlay Mode" or "High QUality Mode" (which is 100% CPU)
