The collision detection in this game seems a bit out(also a problem with cfs2), I flew at a trawler last night and pulled up over the top, or so I thought.
When I looked at the gun camera footage I noticed my Spit was a good 2 or 3 feet from the thin wire at the front of the trawler when it exploded into nothing. it seems that if you have mid air collisions on then it effects crashing into objects on the ground.Also if you clip another plane with your wing you are killed, no broken wing tips, no chance to bail out. To me this is the problem with having collisions on, you don't have to collide with your wingman just get too close.
I wonder if this is controlled by target size I set mine to medium.
This is a great game and it's a shame that these small problems take away from the realism. Still what a great dogfighting game this is, a real challenge.
