#556968 - 05/03/01 09:29 PM Is there anyway to adjust the stick deadzone???

My X axis is responding a triffle sluggish, I pull back and nothing happens until I'm a quater/half way down the range of my stick. Y and roll is fine, just the X.

I've looked in the .ini, but couldn't see anything.

I'm using a Saitek USB X35/6 combo.

Help, I'm scared to enter a dogfight at the moment

Noticed the same here with digital F22 and TQS. Are you also noticing that the first 50% of your throttle does 20% of the work and the last 50% of the throttle does 80% ?

My solution was to calibrate and cheat. Basically, when you are supposed to move the stick all the way to the top and then click a button, move it 75% of the way. This should increase your response.

Cheers Len I'll try that.

Yup I'm getting the same with the throttle. I've also tried 2 sticks; the Saitek and an MS Sidey FF, both act the same with regards to X axis and throttle.

While we're on the subject of control, what do you think about the absence of manual rudder control?

I remember reading that Steve said the rudder is controlled by the AI, but to me it feels like there is no rudder input at all, it makes turning feel slightly eratic.

In my opinion (choosing words carefully here), it 100% definetly needs it.

I tried your suggestion Len, it hasn't made any difference at all this end

Hopefully this will effect more people than just you and me, and hopefully a patch will address this (I do hope we don't get the usual... 'we can't afford to patch it', routine).

I'm assuming this must have been picked up in the testing phase? My next question is; Why wasn't anything done about it?
