Last week I listened to "Animals" by Pink Floyd and "Clockwork Angels" by Rush.

Both albums I enjoyed for the most part while I was listening to them but I found myself hard pressed to remember most of the songs a couple of days later. I will elaborate further and say that this was not the first time I've listened to these albums. I've listened to each of them at least 2-3 times. I think my deal is that I love both of these groups so much that I feel like I should like these albums much more than I do but they just don't "click" with me.

For comparison, I have listened to their other albums like "Moving Pictures", "Dark Side of the Moon", "The Wall", "A Farewell to Kings" and "2112" countless times. I'd have to make a rough estimate and say I've listened to those albums at least 75 times each over my lifetime.

I find that there are times, and "times" to listen certain albums or bands. The first listen to Roll The Bones (Rush), I was meh... It didn´t as you say click with me. I have been a rush fan since Hemesphere (1978), so some of the "newer" Rush albums like Roll The Bones, Hold Your Fire, Snakes and Arrows, and not so new albums were a bit difficult for me to get into. Iam all up to the Signals era. That said, I also found out that as years go by, I have come to appreciate these other albums aswell, and those that I didn´t like when I first heard them.

We age like fine wine, and so do great albums/bands biggrin
