I hope she likes Haggis. I'd rather have lamb chops than Haggis.

that's it, she doesn't like haggis at all frown

Friet vid it will be as she loves that but never gets a chance to make it at home.

Boil up some turkey (chicken) carcasses with some herbs and seasoning for an hour or two until the meat falls off, set carcass aside and strain broth. Remove meat from carcasses and put in pot, cover with the broth and add meat balls and mushrooms, simmer until meatballs and mushrooms are cooked then thicken with some cornflower and just before serving add juice of two lemons (cream can also be added instead of the lemon juice - this is how you get it in restaurants) serve with French fries and mayonnaise.

Wife bought these.

I don't like frozen food.

I have never ever had any frozen food whether it's dinner entrees or pizzas that taste good and looked good.

The picture on the boxes always look 100 times better than the actual content in the box.

There was a change of plan again and we went back to kofta but made with minced turkey instead of mutton.

a small appetiser

Wife cleaned out the refrigerator crisper.

She said we had all those veggies in there that need to be cooked or they will rot.

She had sweet yellow onions and different color bell peppers and mushrooms and celery and little red potatoes and she cut them up and threw them into a big pot with some fresh chicken breasts, seasoning, a cup of chicken broth, plenty of extra virgin olive oil, a tablespoon of sweet butter and let it all simmer for over an hour.

She didn't even brown the chicken breasts first.

It came out very good tasty served over white rice.

I watched her cut up the veggies and that took a few minutes but the rest was easy and once everything goes into the pot and she covered it, she just left it without having to do anything else: no need to even stir anything from time to time.

Such an easy dish to make with very little effort.

I wish I knew how to cook like that when I was single.

I spent $1000 and $1000 dining out every week!

You don't like legs?

Maybe you prefer heads?

When you eat the crawfish you are supposed to pull the head off each one and suck all the juices out of it before working your way to the tail.

@Longbow:

Looks good, nice combo!

cheers

Had this yesterday:

Chicken breasts filled with olives and feta cheese, wrapped in prosciutto ham with tomatoes and rosemary with a white whine/broth/lemon sauce.

Side dish was risotto with parmigiano cheese and a salad.

Time to prepare: ~ 35 minutes.
