The Asteroid Redirect Mission update has been released, and it includes procedurally generated asteroids which periodically encounter Kerbin. They can be redirected or crashed into planets. I started off by capturing a medium sized (160 tonne) asteroid, but there are much larger asteroids as well, some over 3000 tonnes.
