OK I recieved my copy today and I have to say I'm not impressed. The game stutters and grinds along at an average of 7fps according to fraps. This is on a 1.2Ghz Athlon Geforce2 Ultra 64mb 128 Mb Ram system And also, why the hell wasn't the 2.5 patch put onto the CD? This means I have to go and download it, now for me its not a problem as i have DSL, but if I had a dial up 56k I would be extremely pissed off. I shall look into my stuttering problem later and post any info here SD

This is an official release on the Focus label. It was released yesterday. Anyway i have managed to solve my frame-rates but when I click on either the Missions, Campaign or editor buttons i get the message "not avialable in OEM" what gives?

well apparently after talking to Focus rech support it would appear that a batch of OEM disks were shipped by mistake. I just happened to get one I need to return the disk to them for replacement. SD

I was gonna say, that sounds strange. The main issue with 2.51 was the training missions worked with 2.5 but the 2.51 patch (which you really DID need) made the missions unusable again. Carl said this rerelease would straighten out those missions. Carl, Will the fixed missions be available for those of us with 2.0 that DL'd 2.5 and the 2.51 patch?? Sometimes I take long breaks between Flanker flights and need some catch up training. The Jedi Master

jema, Really? I've not tried, I'd just seen numerous reports that they didn't work with 2.51. I'll have to give them another shot.

You can't install the new training missions into 2.51, you have to install them into 2.5 and then apply the 2.51 patch ( the original 2.5 exe is a handy thing to have saved somewhere for this sort of thing).
After installing this way, the trainers all work fine for me..........

Hi Grem! Stinger is in the closet ... I couldn't use that nick on the Ubisoft forum and since I'm a moderator there I decided to go with a new nick. Not new really since "shepski" has always been my email address. Cheers ------------------ Formerly known as "Stinger" in a past Flanker existance.

SD Does this OEM version have the Ubi Soft lable on the packaging? I suspect not. The Flanker 2.5 we are releasing has just now (this week) began to hit the shelves here in the US and has not been released in Europe. I suspect you either have a pirate version or an OEM version the TLC/Mattel released last year. Carl ------------------ Carl C. Norman Executive Producer SSI Ubi Soft Entertainment
