Then I don't understand why we have a "Jet Thunder" forum... and a couple of other forums on the other sections on hypothetical future games.

The best then would be to have a forum in each section for "possible future games".... then no need to delete anything when a dev is cancelled.... and we still could discuss about them before.

Maybe they're trying to make him look like the guy that played "The black falcon" in Flyboys? whoever that was.
I really really need an update on the release date.
I've been faking WW1 with IL2 latley...for me there is nothing
like the turn and burn DF of WW1. I love IL2 also but its a different feeling.

Hint: ex public school boys get with the program

Don't forget battledress for the little guys please for strafing purposes. And a bit of a limp what with trenchfoot and hardtack. Plus did they even have perssonnel carriers perrsonel carriers trucks. Ok bicycles then with some little guys riding crossbar and the rest walking. Limping.

My point being, can we really be 100% sure SoW will be completed given the initial release for it was 2005. If SoW can have a forum with less posts in it than this thread, than surely there is justification for a KotS forum.

I think KotS needs its own forum due to the regular updates and interest in this sim. As for which sim will actually see the light of day...my money is on BOB SOW as its engine should be much farther advanced considering it has been in varying degrees of development for atleast 4 years. Where as the Kots engine has only been in development for a few months and may hit an unforseen wall.

peoples republic of ocean beac...
well - we've seen some interesting developement work and "screen shots" from KotS and so it looks very promising.

I know some of you have been around the sim world more than I have and so are more familiar with promising looking projects that fizzled none the less....

But Viks has stated that work is progressing well so I look foreward to it as much as I anticipate the SoW projects.

I 'spose the leg up that Oleg has is the successful base that Il2 - '46 has afforded him. But I like what the GT groups is doing and they are earnest with their updates.

Either way - the next year or so are going to be topflight for us flight simmers - thats a fact.

Is this dead in the water and sinking this new sim?

Was the release date for the end of 2006?

The release date changed many months ago to the end of 2007.

Continuous development updates by GT each week have displayed the on-going build process for this project.

Btw, this week's update will be delayed till tomorrow (Friday the 9th), due to a holiday today in Russia.

Stay tuned WTornado.

Hello,
there is indeed an IL2 based "Sim", or better Mod - OOF - "Over Oleg's Fields" lol. Don't know what OFF's dev team thinks about that ..

But certainly it has nothing to do with RoF ..
