Second quarter of 2004 release date! Really, you'd think by now these guys would just learn to say, "Here's a new sim we're developing, we don't know when it's coming out!"

If I was a developer, I'd use the "Next Fiscal Year Military Budget Request" that we used in the military. Figure out how long it will REALLY take you to finish the sim. Multiply by 3. Tell everyone that's when it will be released. Then you'll release it early and make everyone happy and fill them with astonishment, ha ha!

Call me jaded, but shouldn;t it be more like "Here's a new sim we're developing, we don't know when it's coming out...but you can be pretty sure oour publisher will make us release it about six months before it's ready...without multiplayer...oh and we're only allowed one small patch after that, which we'll say is going to fix everything, but will in fact only address the problems you experience trying to turn off the in flight music (The patch will remove audio entirely).
Happiness is a warm hum.

Ah, KOE brings back all those fond RB2 memories. I really hope they do not shoot themselves in the foot by releasing it unfinished - once the word of bugginess/incompleteness is out sales will be hurt and the fanbase will be restricted to just die-hard WWI grognards. Do it right and shelf-life will extend a great deal and payware add-ons a viable option. Personally, the sum of all those little FB problems, skewed and missing features (no infantry on the Eastern Front?!?) have soured that sim for me and I could do with a quality, non-partisan propsim - I must be able paint my own plane, of course. No immersion without that option Wishing great success to the KOE team!

And as always France is modeled as a kind of green desert,no villages,no towns,no roads etc...

Don't take it personally We all know France is full of beautiful women, touchy men fond of dueling and cozy villages producing f*ing i-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e wine VIVE LA FRANCE! They know what life is about! But the FPS is a cruel fact of life simdevelopers have to deal with - thus the unrealistic green desert.

Wishing great success to the KOE team! Depends on whether you think "Late 1917 to the end of hostilities" is unfinished, I guess! Oh, and in another thread, ArgonV makes the claim that he set up this board, yet you'll notice, race fans, that his name is nowhere to be seen........Hmmmmmmm.

I said I got with Aspect to get a board set up here at SimHQ, and else where aswell. This was the day and following days after they had made their press release. Where were you on their press release? Oh that's right! You didnt even know what KOE was! It took some time afterwards to get this forum up... I had no participation in that.
