Hi! i am just in the process of trying to get a number of my old sims working and although i have BOB2, i really want to try and get BOB1 one working and it almost seems to be there just for one annoying issue

when i go to fly a mission, the loading screening with the picture of the cliffs of dover, stays on the screen partially(the image and a black border) and it doesnt go away even though i am now in the plane - i can see like half the game screen and it all looks good, but for this blasted loading screen which surely there is some way to remove

...'registry conflicts' prevent BoB1 and BoB2 from living happily together on the same hard drive, in the absence of some complicated jiggery-pokery, described in that post.

If that's not implicated, maybe patch to the most recent BDG update available for BoB1, and then try different combinations of settings for 2d resolution, 3d resolution and 'use desktop resolution' ticked or unticked (if indeed that BoB2 option is also available in BoB1).

is there a BDG UPDATE FOR bob1 one? i do have it installed along with BOB2 so should i uninstall BOB1 then? or is there some non-registry required way to have it on my harddrive?

okay i applied the .099 and the graphics mod but the loading screen issue remains - it is ridiculous as the 3d game behind it is clearly working fine and it looks quite nice now with the graphics mod....aaargh! there has to be some way to remove this llingering loading screen - i notice that if i window key to desktop then the game goes to its settings screen and if i select to go back in i can briefly move the window but then the mouse no longer works and also i cant remove the screen enough to stop it block the screen a bit still

now i found if i change the setting in the BDG txt file to force windowed mode then i can get to the 3d game without that loading screen blocking it, however the screen appears in a small box on my desktop and the mouse isnt captured by it so it moves off and so makes things difficult - if i could just get this windowed mode to fill me screen that would be great - if i maximise the window, the game screen just stays the same size but it surround by black

I hope no one would mind me attaching my request to this thread. Please post your bdg.txt with configuration which would allow me as a newcomer to see what is there out of the box. It seems to me that there is very scarce scenery and I have a rather difficult time navigating to the airbases among that texture maze on the ground. I want to verify if this is maybe something configuration setting related or this is how it is. I have Win10 patched game only no the latest updates installed. Thank you,

EDIT: only now I have realized that the thread is about BOB1 really. Well, I am talking about BOB2 so perhaps the place to post that was not the best.
