Sales were brisk and many venders ran out of stock.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

One thing that the grey market sellers and suppliers are about to learn is that if they thought the laws and cops were hard on them before, they are in for a treat now that they are competing with the government for revenue.

One day the West will fall. But if the Liberty for which we fight is taken up by the world then the West will not have failed.

i dunno, i guess i've just seen bad things happen to those on it and those around it in the past to make the thought of making it as legal it just daft as hell, its also effectively saying its "ok" to smoke it, when lets face it, its not nice stuff and really f***s you up.

Sorry but except for EXTREME usage you are wrong. You really have to be smoking hard and constantly for years to end up being "Tommy Chong" as depicted in his movies.

I can 99.9% guarantee you that if you saw terrible outcomes with smokers it wasn't the weed. There was more to the story than you knew or saw - most likely drugs, MUCH harder drugs.

Weed is far, far more mellow and harmless than even beer (except for the lungs). As a "drug" (and in the 80's I tried almost all of them) I'd rank weed halfway between caffeine or nicotine and beer.

Start talking hard liquor, well that's probably a hundred times more of a drug than weed...
