I'd support it, but I'd really, really like theaters other than western Europe. North Africa/ Pacific/ Mediterranean, please?

I would support it and go as high as $200 ( about $130 US wink ) I would prefer a WW1 or WW2 / Korea era.

Anyone remember "Desert Fighters" which was canned?

I still have IL-2 1946 installed so I can fly the Italian planes like the Macchi 205.

Europe has been, but not the Pacific. Nor the Med for that matter.

It would have to be really, really good for that. And as long as it wasn't temporary, I think I'd still be on the fence about paying more than $30US for it to be honest. It's 2015, not having MP is like only having two wheels on a car.

These United States of America
I'd like to amend mine with the reminders that others gave me. I'd much prefer the pacific/med theatres or a full on Korea with carrier ops. Not near enough has been done in these areas.

A Pacific, or west Europe ww2 for me. Korea would be interesting but it would have to have a dynamic presistsnt campaign that is even better than bms.

The only Game I know of that has done Korean War era carrier ops is Strike Fighters 2 with the "Wings over Korea" mod.

I really would love a dedicated Korean War sim more than any other era. Machine gun dogfighting with jets? What's not to like?

WWII has been covered pretty extensively over the years.

(I would settle for Vietnam era though)

I think we really need a flight sim that covers the invasion of Grenada or Panama. Those two wars are been grossly underserved.

Probably my favorite campaign for Falcon 3.0 was the Central American one.

Heh, one of the F-19 Microprose sims actually had missions where you could fly to Cuba. I think it was the second one?

You gents remember how when you booted up EAW, and everything from the UI, to the music, to the graphics made you feel like you were in 1943? Then the briefing, sounds of boots scuffling on the floor, the big map, etc. Now imagine this in the Pacific.

Imagine on top of that, newsreel footage or narration explaining recent events in the war (and what you as the player are flying into) Imagine flying the actual mission that occurred on that day (in the Solomons for instance) during the war. Imagine being able to fly maritime patrol, or dropping supplies. This is what I've always wanted, and we've never been delivered such a sim. We won't have it in our lifetime if someone doesn't step up and make it. There are a lot of obstacles though, the primary one (for starters anyway) being an appropriate (and available) engine that will support the map size needed. Even if that happens, the mountain just get's steeper and more punishing.
It is possible though, like climbing K2 - a step, a foot-hold at a time.

EAW's predecessor: 1942 PAW

I spent untold hours in this one.

I'd love something that would get me back into simming.I just don't want a cockpit click fest.

I just looked at Combat Air patrol 2,how did I miss that? It's the Harrier!! Do we know what sort of detail level that is going to be? DCS? Strike Fighters? H.A.W.X?

Jet Thunder is what I really want but I can't wait another 2 weeks.
