This: Playseat Flight on AmazonI decided that I could not build anything nearly as cool as some of you do here, so I did the next best thing I could and bought a chair with HOTAS mounts and some durability and adjustability. My office chair right now is currently setup with HOTAS mounts and rear speaker mounts but it is getting old an wobbly. Plus I'm tired of the fact that it can swivel... Stinks when trying to use rudder pedals! It should be here this Friday or Saturday I'll let you all know how it goes!

Nice, personally I can't do a sidestick config but I really like how the playseat brand has evolved over the years. What do you think of the seat quality? I know the old one gets to be a PITA (literally) after playing in it for a few hours (even worse now that mine is almost 7 yrs old). It looks better than the old for sure!
I've got a bad feeling about this.....

HitchHikingFlatlander, this is by far the best computer gaming seat I've sat in. It's very comfortable even after hours of use. I love it! It also allows me to scoot in close to use the keyboard and mouse when I'm not flying. Something my old office chair with HOTAS mounts did not allow.

This chair also allows for a steering wheel or flight yoke to be mounted in the center. I hooked up my Logitech Driving Force Pro and had some fun with GT Legends! And my wife did too.

Sweet nice to hear nothing beats having a dedicated chair/simpit for flying/driving games just feels so natural compared to having a HOTAS on a desk or a chair on wheels. I originally bought mine for racing games then later re-purposed it for flight sims, one of better sim purchases I've made over the years. The foam in my seat is pretty worn out after years of use, really need to replace the cushions. Playseats have come a long way since original design (mine)

I know this is an old thread, however, I am interested in ArgonV's verdict after a couple of years in. I am thinking of getting the same Playseat for myself, and I would like to know a bit more about its long-term usability. Thanks.

Im not ArgonV but I did own a playseat for a few years a while back and it held up without any issues or signs of wear for all that time. Its comfortable and quality built and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

I was using a Playseat too, never found it to be comfortable. When I sat in it with every little move I did the Springs of the seat where squeaking a lot. Over all quality was average at best, in my opinion it's not worth it's pricetag. Maybe I just got a bad example but it doesn't matter anymore because I got myself a used Carseat earlier this year for 80 Euro. I can sit in it for 2 hours straight or more without getting sore legs or a hurting back. There will always be some or the other way I guess, for me and my friend (we bought one each at the same time) they have been fantastic! He still has his but I sold mine as my interest in simracing and GT5 had faded.

After a couple of years of use:
The frame, foam material, leather/vinyl and stitching have held up great. I weigh about 165 and it is comfortable for me to sit in for long periods.
However, the seat springs do squeak. I need to lube them with some grease and see if that solves it.
Overall, a great buy!

After some consideration, I've decided to go with an Obutto instead. Not 100% sure as to whether it's going to be the Ozone or the R3volution, but I feel that the Play Seat's lack of a dedicated pedal space was the most determining factor. And, of course, Obutto offers a complete desk-free solution, which is also nice. Again, thanks for the feedback.

I've bought the VKB Mk.III T-Rudder pedals, and they're rather narrow. I believe (or hope, rather) that they will fit just fine with the Ozone...
