Who needs engines to dogfight? Strutters shoot out my engine and I'm so mad I decide to keep at 'em. Shot down one for sure, possibly two (you see him go into what looks like an uncontrolled spin before dropping out of view) but the CO denied my claims because of a lack of witnesses! And even after I had glided almost all the way back to a base, a lovely little SE5 dives down hard on me from my 6 and takes his own shots at me. I managed to somehow drive him off with the last little bit of glide energy I had left.
Voss Style dogfight at sunrise. The very next mission, having not learned my lesson at all, I peel off my flight to dive into a flight of SE5s that were well below us. Outnumbered completely at first, I am eventually joined by one of my wingmen who helps me to finish off the one remaining Allied scout. Had we not been behind German lines, I imagine the rest would not have bugged out - presumably for fuel reasons.
The new flight models and feeling of flight are absolutely brilliant sir. I also noticed that the planes being hit by bullets don't always get little puffs of smoke from them showing that you made a hit anymore. That's making gunnery correction much harder which is a welcome addition as well. Between that, the wind buffeting and the outstanding scenery upgrades - let me congratulate you on a brilliant expansion. There's nothing else like it on the market.
So a couple of quiet mission patrols and then this. Pounced on from high above by a flight of Spad XIIIs. Only they don't all dive down at once. They split apart and come from all directions (bastards!) so it was tough trying to keep track of where they all went. I look everywhere except the obvious...high on my 6! LOL

Pleased you are enjoying it - lots planned for next year - after a break.

Denied your claim? He should have put you in for the 'Blue Max'! You're an absolute bloody Pit Bull. I was most impressed near the beginning where you were lining up one of your early shots at Victim #1,(0:35), a few shots ripped through canvas and you didn't even check six. That's bold.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.
Out on a routine patrol and my flight starts acting all frisky. Sure enough, all of a sudden the sky is an explosion of aircraft in a pretty thick furball! Camels and DR1s everywhere!
I have a hard time staying with a single target until finally I latch onto a Camel pilot who already has one of my wingmen on his tail. I figured between the two of us we'd make pretty short work of him but that was not to be the case. This guy knew how to fly defensively! He put up a hell of a fight for a guy with two DR1s on his tail. We chased him all around the sky for some time and it was actually my wingman who got him after he dropped down low. I thought he was going to escape, but last I saw he was spiraling towards the earth.
I salute his bravery and flying skills though. He was a marvel in his camel and a credit to his nation.
(in 1080 per Polovski's request)
The other cool thing about WOFF V2 is that one moment the sky is filled with planes and moments later, after dealing with your own life and death struggles, you look around to see an empty sky. Just awesome!
I flew a casual Pfalz DIII mission yesterday holding my hand on Record button. There were some things I wanted to share with you and I did it through captions. I tried very hard to make it as short as possible but ended up with 15 minutes anyway...
Here's my WOFF 2.0 in action. No new planes though. But there's enough to experience even without them.
Enjoy WOFF 2.0 my friends. It can truly cut to the heart.
Max settings for WOFF in a DR1 vs Camel Quick Combat mission. AI is set to Always Engage. Realistic? No. Fun? Hell yes! Enjoy the dogfight acrobatics and beautiful scenery.
@Hellshade. In the DR1 vids I notice you can't see the propeller blur from the cockpit. Is this just due to loss of quality when going to video or has sweatfx taken it away?
