I have a X52 standard and am having issues getting profiles to work with this game. Does anyone have a step by step work around for this? I have found tons of posts around the net but very vague or specific to certain issues. Found one step by step but it included Pro profiles, claimed it would work with mine but it does not.

It is getting pretty frustrating trying to get this to work. I know I can eventually make my own but just picking up the game I thought it would be best to use one made by an experienced player.

Can you be more specific on what issues you're having with the profiles? It may be that you're getting X52 Pro profiles, which are not compatibile with the standard X52?

Hey Einstein, got your IM btw way just been busy! Home on leave and trying to get this thing set up so I can get into it for real soon! I meant to email you some 2/75 Ranger unclass CAS stuff we just did, have some powerpoints. I will be back in the office on Monday and can get them to you.

As for the problems, I've tried tons of profiles, all of which were non-pro. My issue is I am not able to get the game to load them. The Saitek program loads them, but when I get in game I have no way to get them to work. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Thought maybe there was a guide somewhere?

Ah, I think I'm starting to see your problem but I could stil use some more clarification: when you say they don't work, are all the button presses on your X52 not being recongized, are the axes (pitch/roll/throttle) backwards, etc?

Saitek profiles are loaded by the Saitek profiler software, not by the game. The profiler software works such that a button press on the controller sends a "keypress" to the game, just as if you had pressed that key. A good profile design is based on the default key configuration of the game so you don't need to do any key remapping. You will likely need to set your axes in the game controls, however. I know I have to remap my X52 Pro and CH Pro Rudder pedals for any default config.

I'll try doing some manual stuff. Kinda gave up on it since I have to leave again and won't have my desktop anyway. Gonna take some time to sit down with this thing, got it to work enough to get through some tutorials. Gonna need to map the TMS and DMS for sure lol, the keys def won't cut it.
